Shotcrete

If you are in Anchorage, Wasilla or Fairbanks and looking for experienced structural upgrade professionals then you are on the right website. C.R.S.. is well versed in one of the most efficient construction techniques- shotcrete. Shotcrete is a great way to cut down the time on a project which involves concrete. Shotcrete is an adhesive mixture that, much like concrete, is used to coat walls, walkways, rooftops and other constructs that require a stone-like coating.  The main difference between shotcrete and concrete is that shotcrete is a lighter mixture which allows it to be pumped through a hose for quick application.

There are two different methods to shotcrete: dry and wet. Essentially they work out to the same thing but there are varying levels of skills needed for each. Dry shotcrete contacts with water as it exits the hose and mixes when it hits the desired surface. Wet shotcrete is already mixed when it exits the hose. Both require a fair amount of skill as applying the right amount of shotcrete to certain sections takes a keen eye and a steady hand. We know the ins and outs of shotcrete and the most modern construction techniques on the market so our Anchorage, Wasilla & Fairbanks clients can rest easy and rely on our expertise.

Construction Tips

  • Licensed and Insured. The last thing you want is a contractor to be working on your property, only to find out they don't have the proper insurance or aren't licensed to do the work, because if something goes wrong or someone is hurt at a work site, you could be held liable for the damages. Make sure that the contractor you choose has ample worker's compensation, property damage, and personal liability coverage.
  • References. The best way to ascertain if the contractor you choose is skilled and competent enough to do the job is to ask for and verify a list of references consisting of past customers that you can contact. Customers that get what they paid for and who are happy with the job your contractor has done for them are usually only to happy to provide an endorsement on the contractor's work. Choose us, and before long you'll be on our reference list!
